MAVİALP-MESHVIZ operates using a highly reliable RF mesh network based on IETF 6TiSCH. At the heart of the system, 40 RF mesh modems read indices from 70 various relay-enabled meters in the field at regular intervals to collect consumption data. These modems form the basis of the prepaid structure, instantly tracking the credit status of subscribers. When a subscriber's credit falls below a defined threshold or is completely depleted, the system has the capability to automatically cut off the energy supply to the relevant meter.
The management and control layer of the system is provided through a user-friendly and comprehensive web application. This web application offers energy operators and managers the following capabilities;
Subscriber Management: Adding new subscribers, updating existing subscriber information, and removing subscribers can be easily performed.
Credit Loading and Tracking: Prepaid credits for subscribers can be securely loaded. Instant tracking of loaded credits and remaining balances provides transparency for both subscribers and operators.
Trend Analysis: Detailed trend analyses can be performed using the collected consumption data. These analyses help identify consumption habits, predict peak hours, and develop energy management strategies.
Reporting: Comprehensive reports on system performance, consumption data, outage information, and subscriber activities can be generated to support decision-making processes.
Flexibility and Wide Coverage: The RF mesh structure allows for expansion into wide geographical areas and the establishment of a reliable communication infrastructure, especially in regions where traditional GSM/LTE coverage is insufficient. Each modem also acts as a relay, extending the network's reach.
Cost-Effectiveness: The prepaid system enables more efficient energy usage, offering potential cost savings for both consumers and energy distribution companies. Furthermore, being a domestic and original solution reduces import dependency.
Data-Driven Management: Real-time and detailed data collection capabilities provide a better understanding of energy consumption and support strategic decision-making.
Easy Installation and Maintenance: The system's ability to be integrated with existing relay-enabled meters allows for easy installation, and its remote monitoring capabilities reduce maintenance costs.
MAVİALP-MESHVIZ, developed in the Trabzon Technology Development Zone, is poised to become a cornerstone of future smart energy grids. This system will not only contribute to environmental sustainability by increasing energy efficiency but also establish a more transparent and controllable relationship between subscribers and energy providers.
